Cats and the Heartland Pet Connection

I talk about my cats like they are people. I am probably one four legged friend short of being a cat lady, as some of my non-cat friends have pointed out, but I’m okay with that. I got my cats from Heartland Pet Connection last July when they were having a kitty sale.

Cat Scratch Fever

I never owned a pet growing up. I never owned a pet as a young, single adult. No, it wasn’t until I met–and later married–a pet-lover (animal fanatic) that I found myself co-existing with a domestic animal. Today I say without shame, that I am a proud pet parent. I never imagined that I would be referring to myself as a “pet parent” and DEFINITELY never imagined that I would have begun to create custom furniture for him.

A Fish Called Rainbow
