Counting My Blessings

We were so close to making it through this winter without the dreaded stomach flu. BUT–fate threw us a curve ball and the last week of February we found our luck had run out. It’s bad enough when young children in the household suffer with the various symptoms of the not-too-pretty illness. It’s simply not fair when MOM succumbs to it as well! And here is where I learned to count my blessings.

A Parenting Question Posed

When my daughter was about 2 ½ years old and my son was barely 2 months old, I was asked by a parent with only one child “Do you see a difference between having a boy and having a girl?” At the time I was focused on the fact I was being unfairly punished with a 2nd colicky baby. So my response was “no, not really.”
