The Final Four

Sixty-eight teams entered The Men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament with hopes of being the next “Cinderella” and/or National Champion, and now only four remain. Louisville, Kentucky, Ohio State, and Kansas are the four teams fortunate enough to make it to New Orleans, and the hopes of being crowned as the best are still alive.

Arguably one of the most intriguing and exciting three weeks out of the year is “March Madness.” We have come to expect the unexpected, as each year a Cinderella (or two) weaves its way through seemingly unbeatable opponents and into the later rounds of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.

Into the Mouth of (March) Madness

I began the day with high motivation and grand intentions of taking down the Christmas lights that are perched atop my gutters and silently threatening to stay there through the Ides of March. In order to embark on such a dreaded task, however, I deemed it necessary to first plop down on my couch for a moment of pre-chore motivational contemplation (read: “TV-watching”). In that precise moment, I became a victim of March’s silent productivity killer: madness—MARCH MADNESS.
