We are extremely fortunate to have two farmers markets in Hastings. The produce stands right now are bursting with colorful bounty, and there are all kinds of variety in the choices of fresh produce available there.

It’s a Chili Day

Last week, during what I foolishly thought was the last cold and snowy day of spring, I found myself making a big pot of chili. My cooking instincts don’t kick in all that often, but changes in weather bring out something pretty basic in me, and on those chilly and snowy days, chili just has to happen.
