The Joys of Traveling with Young Children

To anyone who has ever traveled by themselves with young children to a distance further than Omaha, I say “God Bless YOU!” Earlier this month a good friend was celebrating a couple of milestones–a 40th birthday and the completion of a master’s degree. I received the dual party invitation with the first thought “There’s no way I’m going to be able to attend.”

A Parenting Question Posed

When my daughter was about 2 ½ years old and my son was barely 2 months old, I was asked by a parent with only one child “Do you see a difference between having a boy and having a girl?” At the time I was focused on the fact I was being unfairly punished with a 2nd colicky baby. So my response was “no, not really.”

A Fish Called Rainbow
