Using Technology to achieve your weight loss goals
We have so many tools at our fingertips to help us achieve our fitness goals. Most of them are free and accessible 24-7 on our phones, tablets and computers.
There are so many apps and websites dedicated to help you achieve your fitness and weight loss goals, to name all of them would take hours and hours. It’s all about finding on that works for you and your lifestyle. You may have to try several before you find one that you like, but there is one out there.
There are hundreds if not thousands of websites that have weight loss plans, calorie counters, exercise programs and support from professionals and peers going through the same struggles and successes you are. spark.com, weightwatchers.com and beachbody.com are all great websites to look into. All are a little bit different but all of them have great tips, ideas and programs…just to name a few.
Two other great tools on the web are Facebook and Pintrest. Facebook has so many groups you can join that have to do with fitness, health, nutrition and weight loss. Whatever you needs are or what you are looking for there is a group out there for you. Another site I’ve found to be really motivational is Pintrest. There is a health and fitness category filled with pictures and quotes to keep you motivated as well as exercise tips, routines and healthy recipes.
Along with the Internet, there are also tons of apps you can download on your phone and tablets. Again, just like the websites there are so many options, you just have to find one that you like. When you are looking at apps, don’t think that just because one is more expensive it’s automatically the best. There are a bunch of great free apps out there! One that I found that I really like is called Lose It. The app is really cool, it’s easy to use and best of all, it’s free! You can pick
how many pounds you want to loose in a week or maintain. It then sets a calorie budget for you to stay within during the day. You log your food and exercise for the day and as long as you stay within your budget you will be loosing weight. Loosing weight is all about calories in versus calories out. If you consume more calories than you burn, you’re going to gain weight. With a budget, you can learn to stay out of the red while picking your own foods and exercising. If you want more calories in your budget, you just need to exercise. There are millions of foods in the database so it’s easy to find what you want. It also saves meals and foods making it easy to access without having to go through each individual food everyday (if you eat somewhat of the same thing for certain meals). There are also quite a few different exercises already in the system so you don’t have to guess how many calories you are burning.
There are so many tools in our grasp that are easy to use and convenient. It’s all about finding one that works for you. We are all unique and have different fitness needs, so we all shouldn’t have to use the same tools. Do some research, try some out and find a tool that will help you achieve all of your fitness, nutrition and weight loss goals!
