London 2012

On Friday the greatest sporting event will begin as the opening ceremonies of the 2012 Olympic Games starts in London.  Teams from all over the globe will gather in Olympic Village for 17 days of competition!

For a sports enthusiast like myself, I can’t help but get wrapped up in the Olympics!  There is something cool about athletes in every sport imaginable in top, peak performance representing their country with the hopes of hearing their anthem as they are standing on top of the podium with a gold medal around their neck!  Even those who aren’t athletes or sports enthusiasts enjoy the Olympics…there are so many different sports and competitions to enjoy, from your traditional sports to things like archery and table tennis.  You can go to www.nbcolympics.com to get a complete schedule and map out your 17 days of Olympic competition!  Some of my favorites include track and field, gymnastics, swimming and diving, beach volleyball and of course basketball.  An interesting fact about basketball…the USA women’s team hasn’t lost a game at the Olympics since 1992!

There are only three days left to get geared up for the Olympics and cheer on Team USA! Get your television set to NBC and sit back and enjoy 17 days of the greatest sports competition in the world!
