Salvaged Goods

I am a fan of salvaged goods. Back in college, we used to have a system of goods exchange. Unwanted items were left in the dormitory hall. Other dorm residents were free to snap up and repurpose the items in a new wardrobe or dorm room.

Recycling Made Simple

I am now the proud owner of a new recycling tote from Woodward’s Disposal Service. Our old tub was 18 gallons. This new baby is 96 gallons of recycling space and I intend to fill it up!

Desk-ology

A 90-Yr Old Masterpiece

I love big old farmhouses, probably because I grew up in one. We live in the farmhouse my husband grew up in. It’s a great HUGE house, but one thing I’ve learned about older farmhouses–they skimped on the size of the kitchen and they skimped in the bathroom area.

Holiday Greens

Decorate for the holidays with fresh evergreens from your own back yard….or maybe a friend’s yard (with permission of course). There are many different kinds of greenery for holiday decorating. Pines, firs, and junipers are great to use indoors, either with or without being placed in a water base.
