Vandalism at the Park

What is the deal with vandalism, destruction of other people’s property, and general disrespect for what’s not yours??? I don’t get it. And now that I have a family, I really don’t appreciate having to explain to my young children what vandalism is.

I think true hobbies shouldn’t always deal with what we think about all the time…diet and exercise. I love basketball, but I don’t participate all of the time and I love to work out but I have many other hobbies that I do to “escape.”

Ninja’s

This week I’m going to change up my blog a bit so I can brag about my ninja’s! I coach an 8th grade girl’s competitive basketball team and we just recently finished our winter season. Our team is called Nebraska Heartland and our unofficial mascot is the Ninja, kind of an inside joke…but funny none the less…or at least we think so.

A Good Book

It seems that everything in my life is pointing to reading these days. Dr. Seuss’s birthday was last week, Hastings Public Library is having a Reading Rave this weekend, and there have been several stories in the Hastings Tribune about reading books and library cards.
