Juvenile Foodies

I thought it would be interesting to ask my kids some of their other favorite Hastings eating establishments and reasons why. Of course Burger King with its indoor play area and the north McDonald’s with its video game table topped their list immediately, but I wanted to hear about their thoughts on non-fast food establishments.

Cook Something Up

One of the things I hate most is when people around my age say “I’m bored!” It makes me want to yell at them. As a person who can always find something to do, it is difficult to fathom being “bored”. My charge to you if you become bored is to cook something up in your life: Mix in 1 part of fun activity with 1 part fun people, sprinkle in some good music or your favorite beverage, stir lightly, and enjoy.

Evening at Back Alley Bakery

I have enjoyed many pizzas from Back Alley Bakery and am quite fond of them staying open on Thursday nights. I also enjoy that friends and I can sit down in the bakery and enjoy our pizza as well. However, I find myself thinking about the bakery being open more often in the evenings – and for more than just pizza.
