Communication Technology

Wednesday, January 18th, 2012 by

An interesting topic was brought up last week in English class. To start off class my English teacher, Mrs. Marker, had each of us write a paragraph based on the idea that recent advancements in communication technologies like Facebook, Twitter, smart phones, and Skype are slowly killing human social life. It was meant to be a persuasive paragraph on whether I thought these advancements were good or bad for the future of human interaction.

Post-Season Comments

Wednesday, January 11th, 2012 by

The 2011-2012 football season is over, and I can’t help but feel a little disappointed in our Husker football team. It was another average 9-4 season. I had Nebraska picked to win the B1G this year partly because of bias, but mostly due to the fact that I really thought Nebraska had a strong shot at being Big Ten champions. Such an insane thought that was.

Gluten Free

Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 by

I’ve been gluten free for one week now and I have one more to go. This two week experiment of gluten free eating was my boyfriend’s idea. He has quite a few family members that have gluten intolerance so he finally decided to try it to see if he could notice a difference. And being the good girlfriend that I am, I said I’d to it too.

Resolutions

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012 by

The Holidays are officially over…my tree and decorations came down over the weekend and are in storage for another year. I rung in the New Year with some great family and friends and I’m vowing to make 2012 the best year yet! I think every year you should try to better yourself in some way, grow from the year before, learn from your past mistakes and set new goals to strive for.

What You Need to Get Me for Christmas

Wednesday, December 21st, 2011 by

It truly is the most wonderful time of the year. I took time to consider the grandeur of Christmas and I realized that people must actually like me. It is reassuring to know that there are people that love me enough to buy me presents, and it really make me feel included in a family when my mom, aunts, and uncles are all asking me what I want for Christmas.
