I have just survived what turned out to be a weekend-long birthday celebration for my daughter who turned 6. While planning the party, I started taking note of other options in Hastings for birthday parties and I discovered even more options in town than I thought. Future parties in Hastings for the Kimle kids just might be in order. After all, a stress-free mom is a happy mom!

Hate To Be Right

I was reluctant to say after Nebraska’s disappointing 25-28 defeat that I had called it. Well, sort of. I thought our Huskers would only struggle for most of the game, not all of it. Sheer disappointment over the Husker loss was the cause for my gloomy Saturday.

Anybody else think Saturday’s game against Minnesota was boring? I certainly did. I was in a constant struggle to be a motivated fanatic as the Huskers beat the Golden Gophers 41-14. In all honesty, I didn’t even watch the fourth quarter. Does this mean I’m not a true Husker fan?

What happened? That’s all I could ask myself Saturday after the Huskers got thoroughly embarrassed by Wisconsin on national television. It wasn’t even close. Nebraska didn’t even compete in the second half. What happened?
