Give “Just Lookin” A Look See

Into the Mouth of (March) Madness

I began the day with high motivation and grand intentions of taking down the Christmas lights that are perched atop my gutters and silently threatening to stay there through the Ides of March. In order to embark on such a dreaded task, however, I deemed it necessary to first plop down on my couch for a moment of pre-chore motivational contemplation (read: “TV-watching”). In that precise moment, I became a victim of March’s silent productivity killer: madness—MARCH MADNESS.

HA³C=GR8

The Hastings African American Annual Convention (hence HA³C, also known as Black History Banquet) takes place every year, on the last Saturday of February at the Hastings Fairground. This year marked its 13th, and it grows bigger in attendance numbers each time.

Taking Hastings “Higher”: An HJCT Theater Experience

Making a Difference In Hastings

I like the sense of community that I feel living here. I don’t have a lot of money to give to things that I am passionate it about, but I have time and energy, so I like to give that instead. I like Hastings because I feel like I can make a difference here.
