About: lhigel

I grew up in "the best little city out west" as the sign reads as you pull into Indianola, Ne, famous for Rocket Pizza, and not much else. I moved to Hastings the summer after high school graduation, to make a brief stop for college, and 13 years later I am still here. I fell in love with Hastings. My degree is in Culinary Arts and my passion is for teaching. My job at CCC is the perfect combination of the two. I live on a small acreage with my husband Jeff, and children, Kaylee and Blake. I am a foodie at heart....love to cook, love to eat, and curl up with a good cookbook when i can find the time. I enjoy time spent with friends and family, "garage-sale-ing" and camping.
